Collection of macro photographs and videos of insects

This is my squidoo lens where I am grouping all my insect photographs and videos together in one spot. This is only a small portion of the insects I have filmed and photographed in the last two years. I use a Canon 5D Mark II with a Canon MP-E 65mm lens and a Sigma 180mm lens.

Macro photography of different insects

These are some macro photos of several different insects. All pictures where captured with a Canon Mark 5d II camera body and a Canon MP-E 65mm lens. The insects were all found in the state of Texas. Mostly in the Dallas and Fort Worth area.

MP-E macro videos of ants

These are my first videos of ant at macro size. The videos are from 1x to 5x magnification. These videos were taken with a Canon MP-E 65mm 2.8 1x-5x macro photo lens. I put a cracker in this red ant bed to get them active.

These are some example photos I took with my new Canon MP-E 65mm 2.8 1x-5x macro lens. I am hand holding without a flash so I am not using the lens to the fullest potential. I am very pleased with the lens and will be even happier once I can afford the twin flash unit for it. Enojy
